Kamado App is a platform for kamado enthusiasts to share recipes, log cooking sessions, and connect with other cooks. This privacy policy describes how we process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).

Profile data: information you provide yourself, such as your cook name, biography, location, social media handles, and profile photo.

Content: recipes, cook logs, photos, comments, likes, and follow relationships you create.

Technical data: IP address, browser information, and page visits.

Payment data is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

We use your data to manage your account, provide the service, process payments, and send you notifications. We also use anonymized data for website analytics and improving our service.

The legal bases for this are: performance of contract (account, content, payments) and legitimate interest (notifications, analytics, security). You can enable or disable email notifications per type.

We share data with the following service providers: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Amazon Web Services (file storage in EU region eu-central-1), Google Analytics (website analytics), and AppSignal (error tracking). These parties only receive the data necessary for their services.

We use essential cookies to manage your session and security. Additionally, Google Analytics sets analytics cookies to anonymously understand website usage.

All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed and sensitive data is filtered from log files. Files are stored in a secured environment in the EU.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, your data is archived and permanently removed after a reasonable period. Payment data is retained in accordance with legal tax obligations.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Kamado App is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We may update this policy from time to time and will inform you of significant changes.
